KHUNJAOBA(THOI) – DRUMMER

PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE

I’m an Aries Saturday born boy.I grew up here and the city is very dear to me. I grew up in an environment that was sporty and culturally very rich. My parents were deeply involved with Art and Sports .Consequently Music and sport came very naturally to me.In Sports, i’m a National Goldmedalist of the game Sepak takraw. My father and brother was my biggest souce of inspiration. We were a very close-knit family and I shared a special bond with my parents . I start practising drum when i was in class-I(1990).Because of my parent, I was exposed to a lot musical concert held in locality and native. The thought of being on stage in front of a huge audience used to excite me beyond measure. I still remember most of my first times I have quite a clear memory of my first Nite at GM HALL when I was in class-I (1990).I was beating drum and singing two western covered number (Have you ever seen the rain and Love hurt) in front of two thousand audience, it was really excited. Another fond memory from my younger day was the first time I faced the camera. My first appearance as in the ‘GAUHATI DOORDARSHAN’.I was still in school (class-IV) and vey young. I also remember the day when I won BEST SINGER AWARD in class -IV and again Best award for WESTERN MUSIC for consecutive 3 years in college life. I considered it to be quite an achivement.I have already worked with the bands MELODY MAKER (1990-92),SANGAI (1992-95), CYGNUS (2006-2008).And now, I’m working with the band ‘CLEAVE’.I’m very interesting and eventful with the band. My future plan is to continue my profession as much as I can.
